The original E-Kin case study was created during the Spring 2000
semester by Dr. Beverly Kracher and the graduate students in MBA 779
Business, Technology, and Ethics: The Next Generation,
College of
Business Administration,
Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska, USA.
The graduate students included: Adam Crump, Russell Hancock, Greg
Johnson, Robert Woods, Jennifer Doubet, Patrick Mahoney, Larry
Ouellette, and Maria Sabia.
Additions to E-Kin were made during the Spring 2001 semester by Dr.
Beverly Kracher and the graduate students in MBA 778 Business,
Technology, and Ethics. The graduate students included: Jeff Burks,
Scott Coleman, Joseph Gnorski, Dawn Johnson, Soowon Jung, Chris
Krambeck, Michael Martin, Brendan Ryan, Priya Srinivasan, and Kent
Truong.

Permission has been obtained from Dr. Kracher to use and adapt the case study to a multimedia format.
This adaptation was created by Terry Morris for a Harper College Department of Instructional Technology Fellowship Project in Fall 2005-2006. The case studies will be utilized in an E-Commerce course. However, they could be also applicable to management and marketing courses.

of Instructional Technology's media meister, Tom Knoff,
recorded and edited the audio for the multimedia segments. The
roles were played by: Fran Hendrickson (Maria Whinnor), Chris
Dobson (IT guy), Matt Ensenberger (smarmy marketing dude), Tom
Knoff (cool CEO), Steve Lollino (male narration), and Terry
Morris (female narration).
Thanks to the Harper College Web Development students who provided a web design critique of the prototype for this case study: Dennis Chance, Karen Elder, Pamela Harris, Teresa Jimenez , Danuta Kaufman, Connie Martindale, Rebeka Risteska, Kelly Stachura, Cathy Walters, and Andy Webber. The students used the Web Design Best Practices criteria found in Web Developer Foundations: Using XHTML, 2nd Edition.
