5. Discuss the demographic transition. For each stage (4) include a discussion of what is happening to the CBR, CDR, population growth rate, dependency rate, population doubling time, and name some countries in each stage (2, 3, 4).
6. Discuss projections of future population growth. Where is it occurring and why there?
7. Be able to interpret population pyramids.
8. Be able to calculate population densities: arithmetic and physiologic. (Bring calculator to exam.) Discuss the difference between the two densities and significance of this difference.
9. List and briefly discuss the problems associated with rapid population growth rates. Compare these problems with those associated with affluent, high consumption, economies.
