Internet Article Search

Goal: Find news articles on STRUCTURAL ADJUSTMENT programs and develop a list of structural adjustment POLICIES, BENEFITS, and PROBLEMS.

Activity:

• Go to the Christian Science Monitor Archive Search Page at: http://www.csmonitor.com/archiveascii.html
• Do a search on the term "structrual adjustment"
• Select an article (or several)
• Read the article(s) carefully and compile your lists

To do this:

1. go to the Christian Science Monitor Archive Search Page
2. type "structural adjustment" in box number 2 (see figure below)
3. for Select an operation: select "simple search "
4. then click on search in step 6.

You will probably want to examine several articles.
Try to find one or more that are as current as possible (1990 - present)
You may then print out the article(s) and compile your lists
