Mr. Loprieno is a Harper College alumni! He received his A.S degree in 1985 from Harper and then his B.S. degree in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1988. He continued his studies at Oshkosh, where he received his M.S. degree in Curriculum and Supervision in 1989. He then returned to his home state, where he received a M.S. degree in Mathematics from Northeastern Illinois University.

Mr. Loprieno began his teaching career as a adjunct faculty member at Harper in 1989 and was hired as a full-time Instructor in 1992. He has also worked as a adjunct faculty member at Oakton Community College.

Mr. Loprieno has also served the college as one of it's wrestling coaches since the 1989-90 season. Since his time at Harper the wrestling team has won the Division III National Wrestling Championship in 1994, 2nd in 1995 and placed 5th in 1997. He has coached 16 All-Americans as well as two national champions.
