Business Ethics

 


This course fulfills the Harper College Special Electives requirement for graduation.

Burns Phi 150 001: The study of what constitutes right & wrong, good & bad human conduct in a business context. Includes a brief survey of general ethical theory, consider the moral foundations of capitalism, corporations & unions; look at employee/employer relations; as well as business' relationship to consumers & the environment.

Williams PHI 150 065 (late start): Introduces philosophical ethical theory and its application to business decisions. Considers theories of economic justice, social responsibility, hiring practices and rights of employees and employers.
