E130 Project 5: A Letter Refusing Adjustment (15 pts.)
Project Overview/Description

The task for this project is to write a letter in response to the scenario outlined in an exercise included in your textbook.

Once again, a three-part structure for the letter can provide a good starting point. In the first part, set the context and the tone. In the second part, provide explanation and the denial. This will be the most substantive part of your letter. In the last part, keep the lines of communication open and make some tangible gesture of goodwill.

Last, watch the tone of your letter. Strive for a reader-centered attitude. Think about how you might have felt if you had been in the recipient's position.
