Harper Technical Writing
E103 Project 2: Technical Definition Project (15 pts.)
Project Overview/Description
Write a technical definition of the computer programming language XML, which is used to develop web sites. The audience for the project is our class. Given the wide range of experiences with technology among the members of our class, most likely you will need to refer to HTML, also a programming language for developing web pages and one that many people have heard of.

As you draft and revise your project, make sure that your definition is concise, but complete. Also, be sure to use parenthetical definitions where needed. (On this point, remember to write out abbreviations on first use of the term.) Make sure that your sentence definitions present distinguishing characteristics and that your entire definition (your extended definition) is organized logically.

Your Technical Definition Project should take the form of a memo to our class ("To: Members of English 103, Harper College, Spring, 2003").
